Judging Information for the Invention Category
 

One individual or team winner at each grade level will represent Bow Memorial at the State Competition in March.

Inventions are judged on the following criteria:

One individual or team winner at each grade level will represent Bow Memorial at the State Competition in March.

Entries in each group and at each grade level will be considered for:

Most Outstanding - this winner will represent your grade at the State Competition in April at Merrimack Valley High School

State Level Special Award Categories


Electric Award - This award recognizes interest in & use of electrical phenomenon & technology. (1st - award valued at $75, 2nd - award valued at $50 , 3rd - award valued at $25)

Fidelity Investments Innovation and Technology Awards - This award is presented to the student whose invention reflects Fidelity's commitment to flexibility, innovation, and creative uesed of technology. The award will recognize an invention that leverages technology to produce service enhancements, human efficiencies, and cost savings. (1 award valued at $100)

Medical Award -This award is given to the student whose invention solves a health-related problem. (3 awards valued at $50 each)

Solar Award – (sponsored by Sundance Solar) This award will be given to the invention that, in new and practicial ways, makes it easier for people to conserve energy; showing new uses for renewable energy, using wind, sun or dynamo-generated power. (1 award valued at $100)

Joyce Kenne Scholarship Award – (sponsored by Camp Invention) This award is given to the student whose invention displays creativity, originality, and "out of the box" thinking. (One week scholarship to the NH Camp Invention)

Steve Caney Award – This award is given to an invention of Mr. Caney’s choice.
